Livestreaming og Event Succes med SWOOP Challenge

BAGGRUND

Besøg vores hjemmeside og lad os skabe magi sammen.

For the english speaking:

Livestreaming and Event Success with SWOOP Challenge

Background:
In 2014, CPHLIVE was founded with a clear vision: to be pioneers in livestreaming. An engineer, project manager, and creative soul saw the potential in technology that was accessible and affordable – unlike the high prices from the established market players. The SWOOP Challenge became one of our first projects that proved what a passionate company can achieve.

What is SWOOP Challenge?
For those who love the thrill of jumping, tricks, and high speed, the SWOOP Challenge is an event where 16 extreme sports athletes, known as swoopers, parachute from approximately 1,500 meters’ height.

Our goal was to live stream from 1,500 meters up, so everyone could experience the adrenaline rush and fascination of this sport.

The Challenge:
The challenge was clear: nothing like this had ever been attempted before. We had to mount an antenna on the plane and install cameras on the parachutists. It was a complex technical task that had never been solved before. Our mission was to bring the viewer really close and deliver an authentic experience while balancing creative ambitions, safety, and predictability.

Execution:
On the event day, our team consisted of 13 people, including 3 in management. The rest were either creative or technical specialists, including an editor, cameramen, sound technician, technicians, slow-motion operator, and graphics coordinator. The event, which spanned two days, was produced and broadcasted live from an OB van. Preparations required extensive technical and creative expertise as well as tight scheduling. We conducted location scouting several days in advance, secured permits from relevant authorities, and prepared detailed drawings of the site to ensure that our team was ready with solutions for any situation.

Result:
The result was a two-day live event that was streamed to Danmarks Radio and reached a wide audience. The event was supplemented with ongoing social media content to engage the audience. It was the world’s first event to broadcast live from parachute jumps at 1,500 meters’ height, resulting in significant media coverage for the organization.

With this groundbreaking project, CPHLIVE has cemented its position as an innovative leader in livestreaming and events. Would you like to know more about how we can help make your next event unforgettable? Visit our website and let’s create magic together.
